Applicants must submit a high school transcript or GED transcript along with a non-refundable $90.00 Testing and Application Fee with their application on or before April 6, 2017 or upon submission of application to sit for the ATI TEAS exam. Students who have any prior college hours in the Health Sciences must also attach a copy of an unofficial college transcript.

The entrance test (Test of Essential Academic Skills – TEAS) will be administered on Saturday, December 3, 2016 and Saturday, March 4, 2017 and Saturday, April 1, 2017. Candidates may choose the more suitable test date. Candidates must arrive on time, bring proper identification, and have their admission ticket. Candidates are generally notified of their admission status by mail in mid May. A welcome meeting of the new class is scheduled late May 2016 and a required orientation day is scheduled for early June 2016.

 

The ATI TEAS Test (Test of essential Academic Skills) measures the content areas of Reading Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage. This test is designed to measure the academic areas in which national nursing educators deemed most relevant to measure the entry level readiness of nursing program applicants.

 

Each student who registers at Garnet to take the ATI TEAS Entrance Exam must create an account online at the atitesting.com web site. Further instructions on this process are included on the "entrance test" tab.

 

After the applicant submits his/her application and all needed documentation (high school or GED/TASC transcript), the candidate will automatically be registered for the free study/review sessions. A schedule of these sessions is listed below .  Study materials are also available on the website of atitesting.com.

The LPN Program is a one year (1350 clock hours) program. Upon completion of the program the student is eligible to sit for the WV State Licensing Board Exam for LPN.

THE ATI TEAS PREP CLASS AND TEST ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE, HOWEVER IF YOU WISH TO TAKE THE FALL CLASS AND SIT FOR THE EXAM ON DECEMBER 3, THE $90 FEE MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE OFFICE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY,  NOVEMBER 18 TO ENSURE A SEAT FOR THE EXAM.
