The PN Program is a one year (1350 clock hours) program. Upon completion of the program the student is eligible to sit for the WV State Licensing Board Exam for LPN.
Applicants must submit a Garnet Career Center application and a Garnet PN application along with a non-refundable $125.00 Testing and Application Fee. All other required documentation must be received by the school on or before May 1, 2020. Students who have any prior college hours in the Health Sciences must also attach a copy of an unofficial college transcript.
The entrance test (Test of Essential Academic Skills – TEAS) will be administered once a month beginning Wednesday October 23rd from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. There will be two evening test dates scheduled in the spring. Test dates : Wednesday, October 23, 2019; November 20, 2019; December 18, 2019; January 22, 2020; February 19, 2020; March 25, 2020; April 22, 2020; May 6, 2020 (The two evening dates are: March 25th and May 6th 3:00 pm-7:00 pm) There is a maximum of 20 students per testing session. Only students who have submitted their Garnet applications with the financial aid desk, paid the $125 non-refundable fee, and received a TEAS testing session admission slip will be considered registered for a test date.
ATI TEAS Testing Registration Requirements: Candidates must pre-enroll at Garnet Career Center for each TEAS test date by filling out an application and paying the $125 fee and submitting all needed documentation. Test dates and seats may fill up, and Candidates may not come to a test date without pre-enrolling at Garnet Career Center prior to the requested date. Candidates must arrive on time, bring proper identification, and have their admission slip. A photo ID is required for admission to all testing sessions, including re-test sessions. Re-testers who have tested previously at Garnet pay $110 to retest. Testers who have previously tested at another facility, or who fail to show for a scheduled test date, must pay the $125 fee and fill out an application. Candidates are generally notified of their admission status by mail in mid-May. A welcome meeting of the new class is scheduled for early May 2020, and a required orientation day is scheduled for early June 2020.

The ATI TEAS Test (Test of essential Academic Skills) measures the content areas of Reading Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage. This test is designed to measure the academic areas in which national nursing educators deemed most relevant to measure the entry level readiness of nursing program applicants. Not all applicants who apply will be accepted. Applicants will be accepted based on test scores and admission criteria fulfillment until all available seats have been filled. An admission packet will be mailed to all accepted students after the first week of May. At that time, students will be advised of their next step.
Applicants may choose to be registered for the free study/review sessions. A schedule of these sessions is listed below. Study materials are also available on the website of atitesting.com.
THE ATI TEAS PREP CLASS AND TEST ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE, HOWEVER IF YOU WISH TO TAKE THE FALL CLASS AND SIT FOR THE EXAM ON October 23, 2019, THE $125 FEE MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE OFFICE NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2019 TO ENSURE A SEAT FOR THE October 23rd EXAM. All other test dates must be registered one week prior to the test date.
