Applicants must submit a high school transcript (with date of graduation) or GED Transcript along with a non-refundable $90.00 Testing/Application Fee with their application on or before March 31, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Students who have prior college hours in the Health Sciences must also attach a copy of the college transcript. When the application is submitted, the student will be given a test date and time. The entrance test (Test of Essential Academic Skills - TEAS-V) will administered on Saturday, March 29, and Saturday, April 5, 2014. Candidates must arrive on time, bring proper identification, and have their admission ticket. Candidates are generally notified of their admission status by mail in May. A Welcome Meeting of the new class is tentatively scheduled for May 15th and a required Orientation Day is scheduled for July 11, 2014.

The TEAS V Test includes the content areas of Reading, Mathematics, Science, English, and Language Usage. This Test is designed to measure the academic areas in which national nursing educators have deemed most relevant to determine the entry level readiness of nursing program applicants.

Each student who registers at Garnet to take the TEAS V Entrance Exam must create a account online at web site. Further instructions on this process are included in this packet.

After the applicant submits his/her application and all needed documentation, the candidate will automatically be registered for the free study/review sessions which are scheduled on Tuesday, January 28, February 4, 11, 28, 25, March 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2014 from 5:30 - 8:30 at Garnet. The LPN Program is for one year (1350 clock hours). Upon completion of the program the student is elegible to sit for the WV State Licensing Board Exam in LPN Nursing.
